地氣とは濁氣のことで、すなわち飲食の氣のことです。そして「嗌」とはのどの意味で、飲食が通る道のことです。この道は胃へつながっています。胃は飲食物を消化し、そこから得られる氣を他の蔵府に届ける役目を担っています。

The qi of the earth refers to the muddy qi, that is, the qi of eating and drinking. And “chi” means the throat, the passage through which food and drink pass. This passage leads to the stomach. The stomach is responsible for digesting food and drink and delivering the qi obtained from it to other organs.
