20＊「中央、濕を生ず」−『素問』陰陽應象大論篇第五。
中央とは陰陽の間で四行（木・火・金・水）の間に位置です。人では、ちょうど体幹部分の真ん中あたりのイメージでしょうか。消化器＝脾胃を指します。自然界では土、味は甘です。
ちなみに、東洋医学では、食べ物、薬など口から入るものはすべて濕（湿）と定義されており、健啖家は自ずと濕氣が多い体となります。この濕氣がうまく排出されないと、痰やむくみとなる訳ですがそれはまた別のお話・・・。

The center is the position between Yin and Yang, between the four elements (wood, fire, metal, water). In humans, it is the exact center of the trunk. The digestive system is the spleen and stomach. In nature, it is earth, and the taste is sweet.
Incidentally, in Oriental medicine, anything that enters the mouth, such as food or medicine, is defined as moisture, and a healthy eater will naturally have a body with a lot of moisture. If this moisture is not properly expelled, it will cause phlegm and swelling, but that’s another story…
