16＊「陽は氣をなし陰は味をなす」−『素問』陰陽應象大論篇第五。
陽は無形の氣であるのに対し、陰は有形の味となるとしています。陽の氣は発散してバラバラになりますが、陰の氣は集まって形をつくります。ここでいう「形」というのは、「氣」以外のすべてといっても差し支えないでしょう。東洋医学では、五感で感知できるものを「形」、その形を動かすものを「氣」と定義しています。

16＊ “Yang creates energy and Yin creates flavor” – “Somon” Yin-Yang-Osho-Tairon Volume 5.
Yang is intangible energy, while Yin becomes tangible flavor. Yang energy dissipates and is scattered, but Yin energy comes together and creates shape. It is fair to say that “shape” here refers to everything other than “energy.” In traditional Oriental medicine, “shape” is defined as that which can be perceived by the five senses, and “qi” is defined as that which moves that shape.
